It's no secret that we (my daughter and I) love animals . . . perhaps more than most people do, and possibly more than we should. When we look into the eyes of the creatures with whom we share this beautiful world, we see the souls of living beings who want nothing more than to be respected, and loved, and treated with a level of compassion that is the basic right of all living creatures.
We believe in treading softly on this planet, in leaving it a little better than we found it. We believe in loving the unlovable and opening our homes to creatures in of need shelter. We believe in feeding the hungry, embracing the lost, befriending the lonely, and understanding that the condition and behavior of homeless animals is not a reflection on them or what they are . . . it is a reflection on us and society. We long for the day when there are no homeless animals, when all life is regarded as sacred, and when no animals live in fear, or misery, or pain. We know it's not impossible. Hard, but not impossible. We believe it is within each one of us to make that change happen. We're working at it, are you?
Noteworthy . . . Handbags that say something . . . For those who prefer to say it with style.
